I know you’ve all been waiting with baited breath for post #2 of our mission trip, so with no further adieu another glimpse at beautiful Argentina. Our nights of ministering to the people in Salta usually lasted until about 3 a.m. so when we headed off for the foothills of the Andes we were all extremely excited about our little mini vacation. I posted a lot of the pictures from our drive to Cafayate in my previous Argentina post, so check it out. Alfredo was the best host ever. He stopped all along the way to Cafayate so I could capture the sights with my “bazooka” lens (as he likes calling it). By the way, because of all the stopping it took us 7 hours to make a 3 hour trip. Quentin was also so kind to let me sit in the front seat so I could document the trip even as we drove along. You guys are the best.
Here are not so few images from our time in Cafayate. Enjoy!
The view from Alfredo’s parent’s backyard. BEAUTIFUL!
A few shots from the back yard.
Tangerine tree.
They cement broken bottles to the tops of the walls surrounding their homes as a form of security.
Do we think Quentin likes to read? While we went to explore the town he stayed home for some quiet time. I think he deserved it since he was traveling with his wife, Sandy, and myself. We can be pretty crazy.
While we stopped to photograph this winery a man ran out and gave me a poppy, my favorite flower. Alfredo jokingly said the police where after us because I was breaking hearts. Funny Guy!
We visited a bodega (a place where they make wine).
Check out those barrels! Now that’s some wine!
I guess the llama didn’t want to take a picture with Sandy.
The llama.
The vineyard of the bodega.
The cathedral in Cafayate.
Is he not ADORABLE!
Is she not a cutie pie!
One of my many door pictures. This is my favorite.
We got back to the house just in time for the Argentinean Bar-B-Q.
Marisa’s cooking was amazing.
What a team!
Another one of Alfredo’s parents.
Josephina and Beatrice.
Our feast with friends.
I just thought this pic was funny and I had to post it.
Yes, donkeys walking down the road. Where are they going and do they know how to get home at night?
We toured through this amazing hotel. I would love to stay there some time.
The grounds of the hotel were amazing.
Check out this artist’s house. Only an artist would live in a house with a llama and ostrich built on the outside.
There is a car named after me down there.
Saying goodbye as we leave Cafayate.
A snack for the road, goat cheese filled tortillas. Yummy!
Check back soon. I’ll be posting some photos from recent sessions and hopefully at least one more Argentina post. Blessings!

Now that we have met Alfredo and Marissa, we have to go with you next time. The pics are bait enough, but getting to know their hearts has sealed the deal!! Last weekend was so good with all of you. Love and kisses

Yes, their hearts are truly what pull you in. They are the best and so much fun. I miss them so much already. I wish you could have spent more time with them but I really loved the time we had together. Love and kisses. Your daughter.
